I've no idea; I just have memories of the cardboard crusts. She broke
her shoulders after I left home, also has had bad rheumitoid arthritis
for years. She had one shoulder replaced with an artificial joint about
24 years ago but it didn't do as well as she expected (probably original
was too far gone) so never had the 2nd one done.

That's why I'm so persnickity about cleaning my jar rims.

I suspect it would have. It kicked on earlier this afternoon for the
first time since Monday; we had several days in the 60s and several
inches of rain mid week.

I like to see the trees turn, but not the cold that follows.
