That's not a bad thing in any event. Less expensive to heat and cool. You can
mow the roof. Not drafty, etc., etc. I have an acquaintance who built a number
of them and lives in the pilot model that he built.

alive, so I might as well enjoy the ride.

And we had a mobile home park that got hit with a down-burst of wind and seven
trailers bit the big one. But, that was all. It was like the Jolly Green Giant
stepped in the middle of the row of homes. Luckily it's a working class park
and almost all of the residents were. So, no one got killed.

"Looking around at the destruction, he said afterward, it was hard to believe
what happened. Could a tornado have hit the mobile home park near Riverton for
the second time in just seven years?

"I saw it, and it was just unreal," Hurley said in the parking lot of Riverton
High School, where he and others stayed overnight because authorities evacuated
the 200-unit residential park. "It all happened so quick."

As it turns out, what Hurley and others witnessed shortly before 2:45 p.m.
Monday was a downburst of wind estimated to be 70 mph strong, according to Matt
Barnes, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lincoln."

Smoky the Bear has a *LOT* to answer for. It's also a good reminder that it's
not good to mess with Mother Nature.

Gaia didn't do a thing for the neighbour's house. It's the luck of the draw.
Tornadoes wipe out everything in their path, pretty much. It's just that they
don't cover as wide an area as a hurricane. Our house was outside the path of
that tornado by less than 20 feet - go figger. 

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Broccoli, Rice & Chilli Beans 
 Categories: Pork, Rice, Vegetables, Beans
      Yield: 6 servings

      6 sl Bacon; in 1" pieces
      1 c  Uncooked instant rice
     32 oz (2 cans) Brooks Chili Hot
           - beans in sauce; undrained
     12 oz Bag Green Giant Valley Fresh
           - Steamers frozen broccoli
           - cuts; thawed, drained
      1 c  Shredded process cheese

  Cook bacon in 10" skillet over medium-high heat, stirring
  occasionally, until crisp; drain on paper towels. Set
  aside.

  Add remaining ingredients except cheese and bacon to
  skillet. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to medium.

  Cover and simmer 5 minutes; remove from heat. Sprinkle
  with bacon and cheese. Cover and let stand about 5 minutes
  or until liquid is absorbed and cheese is melted.

  Makes 6 servings
