Whew...  I can totally sympathize...  :)

Of your list, I have experience with three... the peppermint, ginger and
caffeine.  Each has at some time worked a charm... singly, or in
combination...  The old prescription med for migraine, Cafergot, was a
mixture of caffeine and ergotamine.  Ginger tames all sorts of things,
from headaches to bellyaches...  And I had spectacular results, like
yours, with a tea of spearmint and peppermint leaves mixed... I had a
migraine aura about half an hour before a recorder consort was due at my
house for a practice (with me at piano)... and as the headache was
starting to bloom, I started sipping on the tea...  By the time the
players got there, the headache had slipped away, and I was able to
survive the rehearsal... ;)  My sister Lesesne, who suffered from
migraines (especially after having had at least one spinal during labor
for one of her kids), had tuned me into that remedy, and thankfully I
remembered it when it was needed...  :)

Another migraine, which had been started by chewing a piece of sugarless
gum (yup, with saccherine), responded to a glass of milk... but I doubt
that would be as useful a cure for you...  ;)

Thankfully, none of the above has ever triggered one for me.  And lots
of other things have... ;)   And liver and bacon is a lovely
combination, with or without onions..   :)
