Yes; more so in cargo rates with the two largest northern retailers,
Northern Stores (a Hudson Bay Store spin-off) and Arctic
Co-Operatives Limited than in passenger traffic. Almost every small
community has two general stores ... one of each, so their freight
contracts are enormous.

The industry argument is that both airlines have a light load factor
and are not very profitable. Two airlines with two customers sending
out two planes when one is enough.

The two federal agencies just might declare the combined entity a
near monopoly but approve it anyway, subject to being able to
regulate fare increases.

      Title: The Airmail
 Categories: Alcohol, Beverages
      Yield: 1 Serving
 
      2 oz Barbancourt Five Star
      8    Year-old rum
      1 oz Honey syrup
    3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
      1    To 2 ounces chilled
           Champagne, to taste
      1 ds Angostura bitters
 
  Bar manager Thad Vogler uses an aged rum from Haiti in this classic
  cocktail served at Beretta in San Francisco.
  
  Combine rum, honey syrup and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Add
  ice, shake well and strain into a coupe glass. Top with chilled
  Champagne and garnish with a dash of bitters.
  
  Note: To make honey syrup, combine equal parts honey and hot water
  and stir until honey is dissolved. Let cool before using; keep
  unused portion refrigerated.
