The best service we ever got was from the nascent US Gummint in a document
which started out "WE the people ..."

But, I think you are referring to the Eternal Revenue Service, in your pockets,
in your face, in your life, forever. Although they insist that they are the
Internal Revenue Service, they hound your estate for taxes they claim to be
owed - making them eternal and, I suppose, believers in life after death.  Bv/=
 
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Spicy Pulled Chicken Chilli
 Categories: Poultry, Chilies, Beer, Beans, Herbs
      Yield: 12 servings

      6 lg Chicken breasts or leg
           - quarters w/skin & bone
      3 tb Oil
      1 lg Onion; coarse chopped
      6 cl Garlic; minced
      2    Jalapenos; minced
      4 oz Can chopped green chilies
    1/4 c  Chilli spice mix
      3 tb Ground cumin
      1 tb Dried oregano
      2 ts Ground coriander
        ds Cinnamon
     28 oz Can crushed tomatoes in
           - puree
     24 oz (2 bottles) dark beer
     29 oz (2 cans) chicken broth
     30 oz (2 cans) Brooks Chili hot
           - beans

  I make this every year at tax time to overcome the
  taxpayer blues. This spicy chicken chili is a welcome
  change to the dreary April weather and will cheer even the
  most depressed economy... The ingredients are simple and
  cheap! Serve with salsa, chips, green onions, sour cream,
  and shredded cheese ...more

  Arrange the chicken in a single layer in a large skillet.
  Add enough water to cover the chicken. Bring to a boil,
  reduce heat, and cover and simmer until chicken is cooked
  through, about 15 minutes. Drain chicken and cool. Remove
  skin and bones. Coarsely shred meat. The chicken can be
  made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.

  Heat oil in a heavy pot over medium-high heat. Saute
  onions until translucent and tender, about 10 minutes. Add
  garlic, jalapeno, and green chilies. Saute one minute. Mix
  in chilli spice, cumin, oregano, coriander, and cinnamon.
  Add tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and add beer. Pour in the
  chicken broth. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to
  medium-low and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally.

  Add beans to chilli and simmer uncovered until chilli
  thickens to desired consistency, usually about 30 minutes.

  Add chicken and simmer until the chicken is heated.

  Cook's Note: For a variation substitute beef, pork, elk,
  deer, sausage or seafood for chicken. Adding a can of
  drained and rinsed corn ads an interesting texture and
  flavor.

  Serves: 12
