=============
Hi Ruth,

 RH> I've
 RH> > RH> had a few who would have given a coyote a tough
 RH> fight.

RH> > Probably end up winning too. (G)

RH> They'd certainly try. My current pair wouldn't even go
 RH> outside.

Couple of scardy cats there. (G) Our Jenny-cat was like that too, but
with good reason; she'd been abused as a kitten. She did warm up with us
but strangers, strange noises made her vanish.

RH> > RH> > Too bad we can't harness some of that hot air.
RH> Some could be used for heating, convert more into power for
 cooking.

RH> > Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, convection oven cooking powered by
RH> politicians? Good idea, especially now that they're jacking up the
electric rates by 25% because natural gas prices are up. Hmmm - feed
the politicians cabbage and get usable gas out of both ends?

RH> > Send them to the cafeteria in the Capitol building and feed them
the Senate bean soup. I understand it's on the menu every day.

RH> It's a thought. Those beans however are cooked too well
RH> to give off a lot of methane.

I dohn't know, I think beans keep their methane producing capabilities,
even after they've been cooked for long periods of time. IIRC, the
Senate bean soup uses navy beans. We used to have a recipe pamphlet put
out by the congressman from Steve's parent's district in NY, don't think
we have it any more but it had a recipe for the bean soup. I tried
making a cake from one of the recipies in the book but it had some major
problems and the cake didn't turn out well. It was one of these mix in
the pan "Wacky" or "Crazy" cakes that were big in the mid 70s.

 RH> > RH> > Steve got a power saw for his birthday. (G)
RH> > power tools will be gifts for a few years.

 RH> > RH> Works for me.

RH> > I've got my share of tools too. Nothing like the power saw or
similar but a good assortment of screw drivers, a small wrench (had to
buy it when Steve took the tool box to Berlin and I had to disassemble
for packing in Frankfurt), a coping saw and a bunch of others. Power
tools include the sewing machines, serger, microwave, KA and hand
 mixers, etc.

RH> I've got all my dad's tools, and his father's too for
RH> that matter. My power tools, other than the kitchen
RH> ones, are often older than I am.

My brother is inventorying Dad's tools--I think some of them belonged to
his dad--but I'm not sure we'll go for any of them. Steve had been
interested in a router/router table but found the combo at a local yard
sale for a decent price and has put it to use already.

(flamingos)
RH> > RH> never saw them in action.

RH> > And now you've got to wait until next year.

RH> I saw daytime shots on Facebook, but forgot to ask about
 RH> the glow factor.

 Were they pink?

RH> > I bought a bath mat in JC Penney today; they were doing the same
thing, and I had a $10 off $10 coupon. It was on sale for $10.99.

RH> > Good deal. We're holding off on the washer/dryer for now but
will probably pull the trigger after we move.

RH> Just as well. Save space and weight moving the ones you're
 getting rid of anyway.

They will haul away for free. But, we're debating leaving this set here
if the ones who take over our lease are interested in buying it.

 RH> > RH> A Kiss the Cook apron?

RH> > A possibility, especially since I grab the apron I made for him
almost as much as he uses it. I made it because he kept fussing about
trying to keep clean while cleaning the smoker but he grabs it for
other jobs as well. I don't thing he'd care for a chef's toque or white
 jacket.

RH> How about if they were camo?

Probably not, at this stage. Since today is Veteran's Day, we took
advantage of some of the offers by some of the chain restaurants--had
lunch at Texas Roadhouse and supper at Chili's. Steve ate (almost) free
at TR--ordered an iced tea--and free at Chili's. Of course we had to pay
for my meal. (G) Came home with TR left overs for supper Thursday night
(when he has American Legion meeting w/supper) and lunch for both of us
tomorrow from Chili's. He's chaplain of the local AL post and gave the
invocation at the Veteran's Day ceremony this morning; the state VFW
chaplain gave the benediction. He was part of our group at TR so we got
to talk with him a bit.

Catch you later,
Ruth
