The Catskills and Adirondacks had shorter seasons than the rest of the
state too. Dad would have things pretty well planted by the end of May,
first frost could come as early as mid August or early September. One
year Steve and I were up in early July and the night time temps were
close to freezing.

We ate, tho they might not have been our favorite vegetables. Dad
planted lots of basics, after most of the kids left, he did less of them
and added some others, in small amounts.

Now we've had a few warm days, yesterday's high was 72 but it's going
baack down again. Today's high (just after midnight) was 65 and it's
gone down steadily since then.

 NB> 40s tomorrow, and for the rest of the week...

Typical Thanksgiving weather. We missed the wind but have had, and will
have more rain before it clears on Thursday.

I usually do a much more involved one but had the stuff on hand, less to
move to the new house.
