Don't talk to me of cheese steak. Onion steak or pepper
steak, I'm your man. Or just plain steak - though it can
hardly be called steak and is invariably cooked gray, it
is at least usually cut from the chuck and is almost
guaranteed flavorful.

If you ever met Carol's friends James and Kim, they lived
right near there. I don't think there was anything of note
back in those days, and if it was there, it was mighty
hidden. Those two really liked their food.

I enjoy the way that recipe flows.

You may recall the brisket I made at a recent picnic, which
at 180-odd was nothing to write home about but became quite
toothsome when recooked to the 203 or whatever they claim is
the magic number.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07

      Title: Indonesian Steak with Onions
 Categories: Indonesian, Beef
   Servings:  6

      3 lb Chuck steak
      2 md Onions, chopped
      1 cl Garlic, minced
      2 ts Crushed coriander
  1 1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Black pepper
           Dash cayenne pepper
      2 tb Lemon juice
      1 tb Brown sugar
      2 tb Soy sauce

  In a large bowl, toss the onions, garlic, coriander, salt and both types of
  pepper.  Add and mix the lemon juice, brown sugar and soy sauce.  Place the
  chuck steak in this marinade and refrigerate over night.  Place meat on
  broiler pan or rack, farthest from the flame.  Broil 12 minutes.  Place
  marinade on meat and broil another 2 minutes.  Serves 6.
