Citrus oils can make a pretty nice product. And as I am
rather fond of all vanillas and chocolates, even artificial
ones, my enjoyment opens to a wide range of mediocre if not
downright awful white and black gooey desserts. I will
admit that I don't like buffet puddings, as they tend to
have an off-taste of wintergreen or mint.

I welcomed even those, but my interaction with gelatin in
hospitals usually has come after a period of deprivation.

I hate to say it, not being much of a religionist, but
pretty much the only hope for people in his condition of
life has been the Salvation Army or similar, and he
didn't seem to be the type - too self-destructive.

But it shouldn't be a business decision: the place's only
business is selling the local transit authority's passes,
as a public service. Unfortunately the transit authority
has outsourced to a private company, so instead of getting
grudging to-the-letter and to-the-minute government service
you get grudging short-changing the government free enterprise
- I would venture a guess that these people did not tell the
transit authority that they were playing hooky.

Almost - Lilli insisted on taking the leftovers back to her
room, and we ate them two days later. They were still pretty
good.

It was okay - the pulled pork (hers) almost half a pound of
probably steamed pork tossed with slightly too much of that
sweet sauce; my extra-fatty brisket was pretty fatty meat
that I thought more like corned beef than barbecue, of a
strange texture (no grain to speak of, having been obviously
brined before cooking and sliced the wrong way to after),
and slathered with the sauce, which made it too sweet as
well as too salty. Nothing to order again.

Looks like the typical southern meal except there are usually
more vegetables - gai lan with oyster sauce or bok choy in that
gloopy white stuff for example. What your place calls "pearly
rice" is generally known by the less picturesque name "doong,"
transliterated as "dump."

Oddly, I have pretty much everything I want.

Tartar sauce
cat: condiment
yield: 4 1/2 gallons

4 ga mayonnaise
1 jar capers
1/4 c Worcestershire
6 c dill relish
1 Tb garlic powder
8 oz Tabasco
2 minced yellow onions
3 Tb cayenne pepper

Combine.
