They left a large flap of fat and skin - I think that the
glue solution might have worked - so perhaps there was some
wishful thinking there, but I believe that it was mostly
a humorous comment.

And too there was that semi-horrified fascination thing
going.

They could have stopped in the normal way and let people off
the back, as most of the passengers were there to begin with
(at South Station, the origin, people board from the back).

Much of the company was fine, but then I got sucked into a
preparatory board meeting of the local concert series, which
didn't thrill me; then the next week the same thing happened
at a dinner party that was preceded by the formal board
meeting, at which every member except the chair offered me
a position on the board, which the chair vetoed, saying that
I could do the work, but no way would I get the recognition;
this was fine with me, as I had no intention of either doing
the work or getting the recognition.

My latest idiocy: I have two blood pressure medications, one
being a one-a-day, the other being a two-a-day. I got them
backward. So I'm taking the two-a-day once a day and the other
a full dose in the morning and a half dose in the evening.

Salted fish steamed pork
categories: Cantonese, main
servings: 4 

300 g Minced pork
1 Tb Salted fish
2 Tb Tapioca starch
2 Tb Water
1 ts Sugar
White pepper
1/2 ts MSG, optional
1 Tb Ginger, sliced
1 Tb Chilli, sliced

Combine all ingredients except ginger and chilli,
beating well to develop the texture. Strew ginger
and chilli ober. Steam over boiling water until firm.
