It's the sort of thing that takes a certain amount of attention and time
for the inital setup, and then, if one just keeps it updated as things
are used or replaced, doesn't take all that much.... But with all you
have going right now, there really isn't enough time etc for the initial
list... I understand...  :)

And with a limited income, one would have to plan out the expense
outlay, even if it did save money in the long run...  ;)

We bought our freezer within the first year or so of moving into the
house... second major appliance, after replacing the fridge that died
soon after we bought the house and moved in...  We've found good use for
it over the years... changing with the changes of life, but still quite
useful...  ;)  We've replaced that first fridge since, but everything
else is still working well enough, so still what we started with...
