I eat hearty. Yet I continue to pare the avoirdupois. And my A1C remains in the
5's. Everyone's metabolism is different.

The cats more than the mutts. Both of the stand-offish moggies have become lap
cats - but only with me. Even the long haired calico (first one of those I've
even met - I assume her sire was a travelling salesman).

As I Meal Monstered that on the fly - I note that I neglected to add "toasted"
to the bread. I've corrected that in the saved to the database version.   Bv)=

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Calico Corn
 Categories: Vegetables, Chilies
      Yield: 6 Servings

    1/8 lb Unsalted butter (4 tb)
      1 lg Red bell pepper; fine dice
      2 cl Garlic; peeled, minced
      1 lg Jalapeno; stemmed, seeded,
           - minced
      3 c  Corn kernels; defrosted
     20 oz Can white hominy; drained
      4    Green onions; trimmed,
           - sliced
    1/2 ts Salt

  In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir
  in the sweet red pepper, garlic,and jalapeno and cook,
  stirring once or twice, for 5 minutes.

  Stir in the corn, hominy, green onions, and salt and cook,
  covered, stirring once or twice, until heated through,
  about 4 minutes.

  Adjust the seasoning and serve immediately.
