Women picked up the slack on a lot of things during the war... none of
which really required the degrees, just the natural aptitude...  But
like much other work done by women, it just gets taken for granted...

As I recall, she was the daughter of the Gleason that founded Gleason
Works here in Rochester... and had sufficient aptitude for the
engineering side of things that her father employed her as such... She
may have been a student at the Mechanics Institute that was part of the
forerunners of RIT, but I'd have to actually look things up to be sure
on that... :)

Now mine has cleared entirely... at least for now... ;)  Bronchitis has
long been my bugaboo... rarely pneumonia...  unless I've had the walking
variety, undiagnosed...

I'd tend to vote for the artifact or misreadings, actually... but in any
case, not being there now is a good thing...  :)
