Always helps to have a supply of condiments in the fridge, especially at
picnic time. Being able to make mayo saves on having to run out and buy
a jar at odd hours or when it's needed and you all of a sudden realise
you're out. I usually buy a jar the next major shopping trip after I
start a new jar, especially in the summer. I just started a jar a few
days ago but won't be doing a major shopping trip until after we get
back from LV/AZ.

It was fun; Steve's parents hadn't seen the PA folks in a bit over 3
years so it was good they were able to come. We'll be stopping in PA in
October so I can leave a quilt top there--and maybe pick up another ham
at Peachy's.

I have been much happier with the situation than I thought it would be.
Last year at this time I was only about 6 weeks into "being a diabetic"
so we were doing a lot of research, making changes to the way we ate and
I was still mentally adjusting to having to stick myself all the time.
Nine and a half months after the diagnosis I went off insulin and I've
lost about 30 pounds. I still stick my finger once or twice a day and
watch my carb intake but as a preventative now, not a "have to" measure.
I know how to manage the carbs so that I can have an occaisional treat
(in small quantities) and will be able to enjoy the goodies at the next
picnic we get to.

Interesting, I never thought that the gluten free elbows wouldn't stay

I've cut up an apple or 2 into tuna salad but never used pineapple, have
to give that a try some time.

I'll use stevia, not sugar.

our girls called it) as well.
