yeah... when hyperterm got the returned address for that domain, it likely
stored it as i speak of above... i've had thunderbird and firefox do the same
to me at times causing me to have to exit and rerun them to get the new IP
loaded...

i see you got into scrabble and five minutes later the carrier was reported
lost... we have not had any connection resets today so that's not the cause
this time... looking closer at the logs, at 6:57 you entered scrabble on one
node... then at 6:59 you were connecting again on another node... the system
had not detected that you were gone off the first node yet (IP protocols can
take up to ten minutes to time out) so it thought you were still online and
gave you the cold shoulder... back on the original node, at 7:02 is when it
realized you weren't there and dropped that (already dead) connection... then
everything cycled and cleaned up... i see that you were able to get back on
about 45 minutes later and finish making your play... then miss nancy was on a
couple of hours later followed by your's truely about 20 minutes later... i
didn't even realize that we (nancy and i) had been that close to being on at
the same time... after having been up from 0200 till 0630, i was just getting
back up at that time...
