I bought my last Virgin Mobile phone (Kyocera Oyster) at Best Buy for U$20 with
U$20 air time included. It was a nice, reliable flip phone (my preferred style)
and did very well until I passed it on to my friend Les after my brother added
me to his AT&T Fiends and Family plan. Les used for some time until his
daughter added him to her Friends & Family plan with U.S. Cellular. So, he
passed it along to another friend. As far as I know it's still ticking right
along with Arthur Treacher intoning the words of my favourite ring tone "Sir,
your telephone is ringing .... again".

I get *very* few of those since I registered my number(s) with the national
do-not-call registry. Only one persistent robot caller from some credit-card
repair outfit on the land-line. I have sicced the authorities on them and read
of them being fined lotsa bux, etc. But it doesn't seem to have slowed them
down.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Arthur Treacher's Fish
 Categories: Seafood, Breads
      Yield: 11 Servings

      3 lb Firm white fish filets
      2 c  All-purpose flour
      3 c  Pancake mix
      3 c  Club soda
      1 tb Onion powder
      1 tb Seasoning salt *
           Oil to deep fry

  Dip moistened fish pieces evenly but lightly in the flour.

  Dust off any excess flour and allow pieces to air dry on
  waxed paper, about 5 minutes.

  Whip the pancake mix with the club soda to the consistency
  of buttermilk-- pourable, but not too thin and not too
  thick.

  Beat in the onion powder and seasoned salt.

  Dip floured filets into batter and drop into 425oF/220oC
  oil in heavy saucepan using meat thermometer.

  Brown about 4 minutes per side.

  Arrange on cookie sheet in 325oF/160oC oven until all
  pieces have been fried.

  * Crazy Mixed-Up Salt or Mrs. Dash work well.
