Sort of learned it; we've gotten into crowd situations other times
since. Getting from near the Brandenburg Gate to downtown Berlin via
public transit the first week end the wall was open was one instance.
Got downtown, found a place (2nd story) to eat & noticed crowds building
more as we are. Turned out the prime minister was to speak in that area
shortly so we finished our meal and beat feet for home.

So far, nothing obvious.

Went to the market again today, also worked at the American Legion
Auxilary booth. Got a rhubarb and a peach empanada, some red bell
peppers, some heirloom tomatoes, a zmall zuchinni, small yellow squash,
3 cucumbers and 18 pounds of tomatoes, now processed into 16 pints of
canned tomatoes. I also got a banana nut bread for Steve and he got some
chocolate chip cookies. We each had a peach from the basket that one of
the Legion guys bought--ok but needs more standing time to fully ripen.
