JK> Yeah :) At the time, I thought maybe the appendicitis was caused by
JK> this big bruiser in the play whose staging called for him to grab me
JK> roughly and spin me around.. probably wasn't though. It did hurt
 JK> though... :)

You probably already had the appendicitis starting, but the staging
probably would have made the pain more readily obvious to you...

JK> And it was especially irritating that this happened as I made the
JK> costume for Alice Adams myself, which was great fun to do. At least
JK> after the play was done my under-study gave me the costume. I wonder
JK> where that dress is now, probably in some box in the attic :) :)

As long as it didn't get left behind from some move or other... ;) That
would be frustrating, to have put all the work into it, and then not be
able to use it yourself anyhow... But you might have just as proud of
the costume had you made it originally for some one else.. :)

JK> Yes, "Don't turn your head fast!" - Live and learn :) Walking in the
JK> dark is still a challenge sometimes though. If I can spot some light
JK> in the distance, I'm ok. That helps.

Something to focus on.... and recalibrate the spinning brain...

JK> Yes, more like pulverized cardboard IIRC :) :) I didn't blame my
JK> child that day one bit haha

We figured it was like wallpaper paste... only not so tasty... ;) All
three of us agreed on that one.. ;)

 >> Yes, it's true! He was used to a variety and forced the issue haha

JK> I think I did for Fred.. One bag of Seafood Dinner, and one bag of
JK> Chicken whatever.. That way I could switch whenever the cat stopped
JK> eating one or the other :)

We've generally just set out a mixture of foods all along... for
instance, Dad's Special Mix with Meow Mix... or more recently, Wegmans'
Bugu and Ziggie Complete with the same brand Indoor... Up till now that
worked quite nicely... but these two apparently decided that all they
like is the Complete, so we've dropped the Indoor mix...

JK> I think it's funny that none of the 4 kittens we got from the animal
JK> shelter in Ithaca were so picky as Fred was. Maybe because they were
JK> feral cats and were happy to not have to hunt? :)

Or maybe because they were young enough when they were brought in to not
have developed so much of a taste for "garbage smorgasbord"...?

JK> Yes, I think so. It's going to be in her home so at least if she gets
JK> weary she can retire to somewhere quiet.

That's good planning... :)

 >> I'll probably do it all here and then transport it. I have a "cake

 > Sounds like that should work fine.. :)

JK> It's handy. Geez, I don't know how many cakes have traveled in that
JK> thing over the years but I'm sure it a huge number by now. :)

No doubt... :)

 >> Right now I'm thinking about making a HummingBird Cake:

 > That does sound good.. :) Will there be people there that might

JK> I think I'll ask around. That's easy enough to do. I can make both
JK> versions as well... that might be the best thing to do.

If your daughter is planning to come, she'd appreciate it, probably...
and I've been noticing that there are a lot more people around now that
are gluten-free either by choice or by necessity... We have some of each
in our church now...

ttyl neb

... You have 2 choices for dinner. Take it or leave it. Bon appetit!
