=========================
Hi Nancy,

NB> where NB>> they used to be, since that house was condemned for
 NB> road/intersection NB>> changes some years ago...

RH> If, indeed the road/intersection has been built. The DOT and EPA are
RH> still battling over a section of I-540, have been for some years
RH> before we moved here and continue to do so. Alternate, but less
RH> desireable routing has been suggested many times over but has always
 RH> been rejected.

NB> Oh, that one has been built... It was when they made Elmgrove Rd
NB> connect with North Greece Rd, at West Ridge... The house where the
 NB> import shop
NB> was, was right on the corner of Elmgrove and Ridge... and they widened
NB> Elmgrove Rd right there when they brought the other road over to meet
 NB> it...

OK, I know the general area, and yes, it is quite built up. The area in
question down here is south of Raleigh, trying to make an outer loop a
reality, as well as a toll road. Right now, most of the road is built
and the northern & western sections are free. The southern section was
built a few years ago as a toll road. We can now use our EZ Pass on it
but for the first few years there was no reciprical agreement with other
states allowing it. We could have gotten double billed tho, had we used
their transponder with the EZ Pass one in the car--but we've never used
the road.

NB> RH>> We did check out a new to us Hispanic market last week; Steve
NB> picked RH>> up another white coconut (like he found last year at H
NB> Mart) and a RH>> coconut water drink that had good sized bits of
 NB> coconut in it.
NB> NB>> Which, I take it, Steve has been enjoying pretty exclusively...
 NB> ;)

RH> The drink was gone before we got home; the white coconut is sitting
RH> in the wire basket, waiting to be cracked open.

NB> Does he have a project in mind for it...?

None has been mentioned; I think he just got caught up in the other work
he was doing. While he was finishing the bathroom this afternoon, I
inventoried (full) canning jars, got them organised into (labeled) boxes
and set for him to take out to the water heater room later. That's done,
I've got more room in the pantry and kitchen as a whole.

RH> Big project this week has been de-popcorning the closet and bathroom
RH> off the master bedroom, painting the closet (and bathroom ceiling),
RH> plus installing a new vent fan with light in the bathroom.

NB> Now that you are home, you can get back to the home projects... ;)

We are; I've not done the freezer yet but getting other projects done
that will make access to it easier.

NB> NB>> And, quite possibly, also the amount of charcoal he'd need for
NB> that NB>> amount of chicken...

RH> I think a bit of that too. We've had gas grills for the last 24 (give
RH> or take a few months) years.

 NB> We've only had charcoal... but I don't think Richard's cooked anything
NB> on a grill for a couple decades, either... ;)

OTOH, we've lived in areas where we could pretty much grill year round.
We also have the smoker that gets quite a bit of use.

NB> RH>> It happens from time to time. We generally try to eat around 6
NB> but it RH>> didn't happen tonight as Steve mowed the yard somewhat
NB> later than RH>> planned, thanks to an unplanned rain shower.
NB> NB>> Yup, things can happen anywhere... without warning... ;)

RH> And more rain predicted for tomorrow afternoon. But, the grass is
RH> mowed, once again. Soon it'll be time to start raking leaves.

NB> We've had a couple of rainy, chilly days... Supposed to warm up again
NB> during the week, though, with sun starting tomorrow afternoon... :)
NB> So far, the leaves are staying on the trees... (G)

We're seeing bits of fall color here & there but not much yet. Had a
front come thru, cooling temps down to mid 70s yesterday and today,
tomorrow they will start a small rise to the mid 80s but back down by
the end of the week. Great weather for outdoor work, once we finish this
round of indoor projects. I need to check the tomato plants, see how
many more 'maters I can pick.

Catch you later,
Ruth
