================================
Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>> Oh, that one has been built... It was when they made Elmgrove Rd
NB> NB>> connect with North Greece Rd, at West Ridge... The house where
NB> the NB>> import shop was, was right on the corner of Elmgrove and
NB> Ridge... and NB>> they widened Elmgrove Rd right there when they
NB> brought the other road NB>> over to meet it...

RH> OK, I know the general area, and yes, it is quite built up.

NB> The import store might be somewhere else in the region, but I've not
NB> tried to track it down... :)

No need to, unless you need the one thing that can only be found in that
particular store. With Amazon and other, similar sites, a lot of stores
that sold hard to find items went out of business.

RH> gotten double billed tho, had we used their transponder with the EZ
RH> Pass one in the car--but we've never used the road.

NB> Yet another reason why I tend to avoid toll roads... Never have bought
NB> an EZ Pass, but considered it briefly from time to time... Maybe if
NB> I'd needed a toll road or bridge regularly as part of my day-to-day
NB> trekkings, or some such... but those tend to be few and far between
 NB> for me... ;)

We bought the NY EZ Pass some years ago, I think while we were still in
GA. It's a help with travel, not having to come up with the cash for the
various tolls on bridges, roads, etc, especially those roads that toll
you every few miles. With the travel we've done, especially to visit
family, it has been to our advantage to use it.

NB> RH>> The drink was gone before we got home; the white coconut is
NB> sitting RH>> in the wire basket, waiting to be cracked open.
NB> NB>> Does he have a project in mind for it...?

RH> None has been mentioned; I think he just got caught up in the other
 RH> work he was doing.

NB> Lots of things to do still.. ;) Maybe he just couldn't resist
NB> getting another white coconut... (G)

I think he just needs to slow down a bit and think about what he wants
to use it for, then use it. This house is a never ending series of
projects, some large, some small, that divert his mind from thinking
about things like the coconut--unless he's thinking about it while
working on something else. (G)

RH> While he was finishing the bathroom this afternoon,
RH> I inventoried (full) canning jars, got them organised into (labeled)
RH> boxes and set for him to take out to the water heater room later.
RH> That's done, I've got more room in the pantry and kitchen as a whole.

 NB> Useful job... :)

Yes, as in now I know what's available for more canning. I want to see
about getting more tomatoes this week end to make into sauce.

NB> NB>> Now that you are home, you can get back to the home projects...
 NB> ;)

RH> We are; I've not done the freezer yet but getting other projects done
RH> that will make access to it easier.

NB> That will come... and then you'll be set for stocking for the winter
 NB> there, too... :)

Yes, we loaned out one larger cooler so I'm half waiting until it comes
back. Plus, I've got a sewing job I'd like to have done by the end of
the month, so always something to keep me busy.

NB> (give RH>> or take a few months) years.
 NB> NB>> We've only had charcoal... but I don't think Richard's cooked
 NB> NB>> anything on a grill for a couple decades, either... ;)

RH> OTOH, we've lived in areas where we could pretty much grill year
RH> round. We also have the smoker that gets quite a bit of use.

NB> So you've had the practice... but also the rationale for getting the
NB> gas grill over the charcoal... and thus got out of practice using
 NB> charcoal... :)

Exactly! Gas is easier for me to use, much less fuss and bother in the
set up. Plus, foods cook quicker on it than they do on charcoal. I
pulled a couple of chicken leq quarters out of the freezer today to
marinade Brooks style, then grill on Saturday.

NB> afternoon... :) NB>> So far, the leaves are staying on the trees...
 NB> (G)

RH> We're seeing bits of fall color here & there but not much yet.

NB> Ours are definitely starting to turn now... still a lot of green, but
NB> fall is clearly coming... :)

My favorite time of year--mid September to late October.

RH> Had a front come thru, cooling temps down to mid 70s yesterday and
RH> today, tomorrow they will start a small rise to the mid 80s but back
RH> down by the end of the week. Great weather for outdoor work, once we
RH> finish this round of indoor projects.

NB> The front that came in over the weekend dropped our high temps into
NB> the lower to mid 60s, with lots of rain... but now the highs are back
 NB> into
NB> the low 80s, pretty much all week, they say... And sunny... No chance
NB> suggested for rain until Saturday...

I think they're saying next Tuesday for our next chance of rain. The
tropical systems out there right now will probably end up as "fish
storms" so we won't get rain out of them.

RH> I need to check the tomato plants, see how many more 'maters I can pick.

NB> And then figure out how many green tomatoes you'll have for putting up
NB> at the end of the season... :) So, your tomato plants did decently
NB> this year despite your absence...? ;)

Most of the time we were gone, the weather was too hot for the tomato
plants. They started putting out fruit the week before we came back so
we're enjoying it. Hopefully they'll keep going for a few more weeks; I
don't think we'll have many green ones to do much of anything with when
the season ends.

Catch you later,
