I am running an early version of 32 bit Win 7 which has an XP
emulator so I can run DOS programs, specifically MM, Q-Edit and
Bluewave in their native mode without vDOS or DOS box etc. If I
upgrade to Win 10 will I have to get some additional software to
continue using them?

There is a move afoot to call it "silverfin" in the marketplace.
That will take FDA (and CFIA) approval to be legal first.

I have read that the various Asian carps are tastier than our own
common carp as well.

Carp is certainly better than no fish at all. You gotta remember
that the regions in eastern Europe where they are most popular are
far from the sea, with few large rivers or lakes and the only
choices before mechanical refrigeration and fast transportation were
fresh carp and imported salt herring in a barrel, unless you were
very wealthy.
 
Lots of fish are improved by curing and smoking.

It is, actually. The amount of water entering the sanitary sewer
system will be equal to or less than the amount of water consumed
except for trivial amounts from Dale's de-humidifier but the sewer
system has to be of equal capacity to the water system just in case.

There is a (modest) cost to treating and purifying water so it is
metered but once the sewer lines are built (a capital outlay) there
is virtually no usage cost. In most municipalities the fixed monthly
charges are much larger than the metered usage charges.

Oh yeah and the guy washing his car? The water runoff there ends up
in the storm sewer not the sanitary sewer.
