The restrictions, as near as I can determine, are the owner has to occupy the
property and it cannot be a duplex or multi-unit with rental income. If the
owner moves on to bigger and better things he can take the homestead exemption
with - to the new "owner occupied" joint. And use the rental income from the
old digs to cover the bump in property taxes.

Our silly-arse of a Guvernator is trying (among other stupid moves) to ram
through a real estate tax freeze. The property owner side of my wallet says
"Great". But my brain argues that the bulk of real estate taxes (in Illinois
anyway) go to pay for the schooling of the chirrun. Then my frugal side reminds
me that I've no kids in the game. Before I can finish that thought my realistic
side kicks in with "If not me, who?". Part of living in a society is
participating for the common good .... or we might as well go back to satrapies
and feudalism. So, I'll pay my taxes and P&M about it.

Meanwhile, as if I haven't enough irons in the fire, I'm looking into getting a
recall movement going to remove Rauner the Ruiner from all governmental
responsibilities.

Expect the worst from the bureaucracy - that way there will be few surprises.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Barbeque Joint Brisket Sauce
 Categories: Bbq, Beef, Sauces, Chilies
      Yield: 3 cups

      2 c  Ancho Barbecue Sauce (below)
      1 c  Meat dripping

MMMMM-------------------ANCHO BARBECUE SAUCE------------------------
      3    Dried ancho chilies; stemmed
           - seeded
      1 tb Olive oil
      2 c  Diced onion
      7 cl Garlic; minced
      1 c  Ketchup
    1/2 c  Worcestershire sauce
    1/3 c  Packed brown sugar
    1/4 c  Cider vinegar
    1/4 c  Lemon juice
  1 1/2 tb Mustard
      2 ts Salt; to taste

  Soak the anchos in hot water for 30 minutes or until
  soft.

  In a large, heavy saucepan. heat the oil over medium heat
  and add the onion and garlic. Saute for 3 minutes, or
  until they begin to wilt.

  Add the ketchup and anchos and saute for 4 minutes.

  Add all of the remaining ingredients and simmer gently for
  30 to 40 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the mixture
  from the heat and allow to cool.

  Place in a blender or food processor and puree. Serve
  immediately, or store in the refrigerator in a sealed
  container for up to 3 weeks. Reheat before serving.

  Just before serving, heat the barbecue sauce adding fresh
  meat drippings as you slice your barbecue. Do not store
  sauce to which meat drippings have been added.

  Makes about 4 cups sauce
