Many desserts as well - over half a 9 to 12" pie per 
person, plus frozen treats. I had nothing to do with any
of these:

French silk pie, which has nothing to do with either 
France or fabric but in fact is dark chocolate pudding
made with way too much sugar, tipped into a baked crust.
It is just too too and is one of the few chocolate 
things I don't much care for;

chocolate mint ice cream pie (storebought);

butternut pies (2), one sugar-free, the other low-sugar,
both gluten-free and dairy-free;

pumpkin pie, gluten-free dairy-free sugar-free;

apple pies (2), gluten-free dairy-free sugar-free;

peach cheese pie, made by our food stylist friend, 
which made up for the abstemious pies above.

So Delicious coconut milk vanilla frozen dessert is quite
tasty, though it's more coconut than vanilla; nice fatty
texture.

Wink cinnamon bun flavored frozen dessert, made with pea 
protein isolate and erythritol - this might be one of the
worst things I've ever tasted - somewhere between wet
cardboard and raw lima bean in flavor, the sweetness of
the sugar alcohol extremely fake-tasting and of short
persistence. The cinnamon flavor seemed to be almost an
afterthought. Texture too icelike. There is no reason,
none, for buying this. Everyone hated this except Rosemary,
so though most others were in favor of ditching the stuff
immediately, we did not do so.

Breyer's Homemade vanilla ice cream is pretty okay but
has neither the richness of French nor the intensity of 
flavor of the old natural vanilla bean. It also does not
claim naturalness nor any kind of purity - this because
it contains mono- and diglycerides, which it appears
disqualifies it from using any of the nice adjectives
that we have recently been trained to look for.

Wines:

J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet and Arroyo Seco Chardonnay
were the usual thing - used to be good value at $7 or 8
but now not so, as they cracked double digits some
time ago;

Honeymaker apple cyser, a dry apple wine with 12.5%,
pretty decent but did not hold a candle to 

a quart of organic unfiltered cider that had been left 
in the fridge from last time Rachael had visited a month 
or two ago; in the meantime it had quite delightfully
turned into a petillant beverage of beer strength.
Unfortunately it also stank of sulfur, I don't know
why. I drank mostly this and was the only one to do so, 
others taking a polite sip or two and turning down the
offer of more.

Beers in order of preferableness - Goose Island IPA, 
Stella Artois, and Lite.

A good time was had by all.
