He's a busy fella, but 1 minute of eggplant peeling doesn't
seem like a major outlay.

Gist: the same gene that made for early wonderful red ripening
also made for bland flavorless flesh. A classic case of you
win some and you lose more.

I did a lot in the '90s with Benita, but now it seems to be
happening with a vengeance, with Lilli approaching her use-by
date and me not all that far behind.

It's kind of sad, but when life gives some people lemons they
can't resist rubbing them in their eyes.

The label indications for Klor-Con are for cases that cannot
tolerate the liquid supplement (such as I suggest) - the risk
is that the pills will damage the stomach lining. Another common
potassium supplement is an effervescent orange-flavored drink,
which led a classmate in high school to kipe a dose or two under
the mistaken impression that the foil-encased medicine was in
fact elemental K. Poor silly soul tried to light the gas that
was emitted while I laughed at him. He was expecting 2 (K + HOH)
-> 2 KOH + H2 and instead got something with a large amount of
CO2, which persistently kept putting out his matches.

Crab Norfolk
Categories: southern, living, shellfish, main
Yield: 4 servings

1/2 c butter
1 lb lump crab meat
1/2 ts salt
1/4 ts pepper
1 lemon, juice of
1/2 c chopped fresh parsley
crusty French bread

Melt butter in a heavy skillet over low heat; add crab, salt,
and pepper. Saute gently, being careful not to shred lumps.
Add lemon juice and parsley; continue cooking until thoroughly
heated. Remove from heat. Spoon into four 6-oz custard cups or
ramekins. Serve with crusty bread pieces for dunking.
