Hmmmmmm .... in this region I commonly have heard a skunk (Pepe
LePew/white-striped black mammal which uses essence of butyl mercaptan as a
defence mechanism) referred to as both a "polecat" and "wood pussy" in addition
to the more usual "skunk".

I saw him bounching about within the scope of the seatbelts, so probably the
driver was hurt worse in the wallet and insurance premium increase - not to
mention the probable ticket from the state whips for (choose one or more)
"driving to fast for conditions", "failure to reduce speed to avoid an
accident", or "improper lane usage" -- all of which are catch-all sections
painted with a broad brush to be cop friendly.

There was a nice "diner-style" place down on the second level that offered
"breakfast anytime" as well as sandwiches, soups and two daily special lunches.
I stopped there for a snack and had a bowl of seafood chowder that was quite
tasty and more filling than I had planned on.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Saveur's Cioppino
 Categories: Seafood, Stews, Herbs, Chilies, Vegetables
      Yield: 5 servings

    1/4 c  Olive oil
      1 tb Crushed red chile flakes
      8 cl Garlic; fine chopped
      3 c  Fish stock
  1 1/2 c  Whole peeled tomatoes in
           - juice, crushed 
     10    Leaves basil
      1 lb Cod; in 2" chunks
      1 lb Cleaned calamari; bodies in
           - 1/2" rings
     12 oz Medium shrimp; deveined
     12 oz Bay scallops
     16    Clams; cleaned
     16    Mussels; cleaned
      2    (2 lb ea) Dungeness crabs or
           - snow crab legs; halved
           Salt & fresh ground pepper

  Heat oil in an 8 qt. Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add
  chile flakes and garlic; cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  Add stock, tomatoes, and basil; boil. Reduce heat to
  medium-low; cook until slightly thickened, about 10
  minutes. Add cod, calamari, shrimp, scallops, clams,
  mussels, and crabs, cover with lid, and cook until seafood
  is cooked through, about 8 minutes; season with salt and
  pepper.

  Serves 4-6
