Sounds like a plan.  I tend to use the craziest colors available when
making 
little kid quilts.  For boys I sometimes go for things that won't get them 
ragged on by playmates when they're older.

Overaged fish works well too; my cats like smelly fish even if it doesn't 
taste like anything.
