I am not so bemused by the corner of 4th and 11th any more.

You get used to it. It's probably this more than any other that
constitutes the "smell of the sea" that the other Dave is so
addicted to. And if you've smelled the particular kind of algae
that lives off the Lynn, MA shore, you won't mind other sea
smells as much ever again.

The CTA ones are no prize, I admit, and I generally ride the
suburban-oriented blue line, but it's my distinct impression
that the MTA is nastier.

Classic Fresh Tomato Salsa
cat: sauce
serves: 4

4 md ripe tomatoes, diced small
1 red onion, diced small
3 jalapeno chili peppers, minced
1/2 c roughly chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tb toasted cumin seeds
1/3 c fresh lime juice
salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients and mix well.
