Most of the girls I knew that had Barbie also had brothers that would
play the Ken dolls with them... possibly under undue influence or
protest... (G)  But, true... GI Joe was pitched to boys... the
corresponding female GI doll that came out a generation later was
pitched to girls...  :)

Pretty much everything we gave our son encouraged creative play... and
we didn't mind when the box was the primary toy for a while instead of
the toy within, either...  :)

That's definitely something to plan... and follow-through on, while you
are still in town... :)   That'll be a fun trip...  :)
