Pretty steep prices require pretty rich patrons...  ;)  At least to keep
regular sales going... :)

Nice.  :)   This time of year, Wegmans pushes white Stilton with
cranberries... usual price $14/pound (about $30/kg?)... big sign on the
outside of the bin saying "packages for less than $7 apiece!"...  As I
quite like it, I did spring for a small package that was about $4.50...
maybe I'll get another one this season...  dunno yet...  :)  Another
version that usually snags me at least once a year is the Stilton with
apricots...  :)

Likewise...  I look at them sometimes... and walk on by...  :) 
Apparently there are enough people around here that can afford it, as
I'm not seeing them on closeout at 50% off...  ;)

I guess the larger bags didn't move fast enough to keep from
spoilage...?  Not enough cooks running through large quantities fast
enough...  Admittedly, I'd have trouble getting through a 10 pound bag
of potatoes even... or even a 3 lb bag of onions...  although I did
manage to finish up the onions MLoo left behind from his visit before
any went bad...  ;)   I tend to buy things from the open stock, even
though it's a bit more per, since then I know I'll use it before it goes
bad...
