I've heard it suggested that the appendix also might have some part to
play in the immune system as well... which also makes some sense to
me...  When things get violently infected, and start threatening well
being, it makes sense to take them, but otherwise, it seems better to
just let them be.  The uterus/ovarian system is another that is proving
to have some benefits after the "normal" use is seemingly obsolete...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it...  ;)

I remember that... back from the days when I did a bit more flying, a
little more often...  ;)

I never ordered them either... but it was more just a case of not
wanting to take the bother...  back then, even the regular meals were
enough of an adventure for the not so frequent flyer... and sometimes
were quite nice (enough, anyway) even so... :)

Yes, I knew that.  :)   Just that it sprang to mind when trying to think
of non-meat kosher items...  ;)
