You couldn't take it apart and do sashing between the solid blocks and
pieced ones? I think that would have been the best, given what you had
to work with but if time was a constraint, it would have gone on a back
burner.

Very much so but I'm back to cooking now. In the past few days, I've
done a beef stew, chicken stir fry (Steve cooked that but I did the prep
work.), chili (competition style, no beans) and salmon patties with
boiled potatoes. The last was tonight's supper, with steamed curly kale.

Yes, but it was local so not so bad if we'd had to cab it (were one
available in WF). Today he had to go to the VA clinic in Raleigh; a
friend from the Legion took him. Again, I stayed home but this time I
worked on sewing.

I have a blue topaz ring so we thought we'd get something to go with it.

Hopefully not anything important. We've got a few boxes around from our
last move but they've been repurposed into stowing other things. One has
a lot of loose recipies I need to get filed into books or otherwise.
