But it's free, so it ends up being the starter...  ;)  Then, I suppose,
one could get the bargains at lunchtime, take a taste of everything, and
box up the rest for later in the day...?  Yeah, yeah, I know... not so
convenient an option when one is traveling...  another option being that
since one is still stuffed at lunchtime, one just waits until dinner to
indulge again... thus missing the best bargains... ;)

On one leg of my flights to/from Colorado, there was a young lady with
drink coupons... she appeared to be an off-duty FA... They didn't have
what she wanted, so produced a substitute that she was ok with, then did
find what she'd asked for... as I recall, she took some unopened little
bottles with her off the flight at the end....

Not upgrading the travel companion rather misses the point of traveling
together... almost an additional slight whilst supposedly righting the
wrong...
