Well, yeah. But I'd as soon decorate with chocolate curls or shoestring 
potato sticks.

Yes it does. The original label for Kirks (back when my Grandad 
introduced me to it) was Kirks CoCo Hardwater Castile Soap and had been 
around since 1839. Some digging around on the internet shows that Kirks 
still uses coconut oil in the soap - but they also use other vegetable 
oils and cannot claim the "CoCo" any longer. I like that it is 
hypoallergeninc and has no added stinkum ... unlike many other bath 
soaps and/or laundry detergents. Not to mention that it gets me clean - 
which is the point of the whole thing.

Palmolive soap used to be made with palm (coconut) and olive oils. But 
there were apparently other things in there that made it non-castile. As 
a bit of trivia "In 1864, Caleb Johnson founded a soap company called  
B.J. Johnson Soap Co., in Milwaukee. In 1898, this company introduced a 
soap made of palm and olive oils, called Palmolive. It was so successful 
that that the B.J. Johnson Soap Co. changed their name to Palmolive in 
1917. Another soap making company called the Peet Brothers Co. of Kansas 
City started in 1872. In 1927, Palmolive merged with them to became 
Palmolive Peet. In 1928, Palmolive Peet merged with Colgate to form 
Colgate-Palmolive-Peet."

Which is, no doubt, more than you ever wanted to know about the subject.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Gold Rush Stew
 Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Chilies
      Yield: 7 servings

      2 lb Beef chuck; in 1" cubes
      2 tb Oil
      1 cl Garlic; minced
  1 1/2 ts Salt
      2 ts Chilli spice mix
    1/8 ts Ground black pepper
     16 oz Can diced tomatoes
      6 md Carrots; pared, in 2" pieces
     12 sm Boiling onions; peeled
      1 c  Pitted, ripe California
           - olives
      2 tb Cornstarch
    1/2 c  Cold water

  Brown beef cubes in hot oil. Stir in garlic, salt, chilli
  spice, and pepper. Add tomatoes. Heat to boiling; reduce
  heat. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or till meat is almost
  tender. Stir in carrots, onions, and olives. Cover and
  simmer 30 minutes more or till carrots are tender.

  Combine cornstarch and cold water; stir into stew mixture.
  Cook and stir till mixture thickens. 

  Makes 6 to 8 servings.
