That's a good thing - I haven't read much of the internet glurge about 
CVS and their tobacco exit. And I, quite obviously, let my fingers out 
pace my brain when I added Target to my list of bad-guys. I shop there 
so seldom these days since they re-designed their stores to channel 
shoppers past their high-margin items and made it so there is but one 
entrance/exit at one end of the store --- so one has to trudge quite a 
distance to get to nearly anything interesting ... and back.

So long as your peripheral vision has recovered sufficiently you should 
be all right. An acquaintance has a son who was born with an extreme 
form of tunnel vision - he can only see a very narrow field directly in 
front of the centre-line of his eyes. Now he wants to learn to drive - 
and Steve isn't looking forward to that fight. The boy is pretty amazing 
in what he has accomplished with his limited sight - but, I don't think 
driving is in the cards for him.

Apparently you are going to be hit by the mess that has been beating up 
on the middle of the country. We set an all-time low temperature record 
yesterday -13oF/-25oC. That's Jim Weller temperatures. Heck, Bill 
Swisher in Anchorage, Alaska was basking in +17oF weather - nearly 
shorts and tee shirt time.

That's a good thing. Fred Ball takes a non-statin thing for his 
cholesterol which may bear looking into, as well - but, the name of it 
slips my aging memory right now - IIRC it was (something) fibrozil.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Frozen Guacamole
 Categories: Dips, Appetisers, Fruits, Chilies
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
  1 1/2 lb Avocados (2)
    1/4 c  Onion; fine chopped
      1 tb Canned chopped green chilies
      1 md Tomato; peeled, chopped
  1 1/2 tb White vinegar
      1 ts Salt
 
  Halve avocados lengthwise; remove pits and peel. Mash
  avocado in bowl with potato masher. Add onion, chilies,
  vinegar and salt; mix well.
  
  Place in plastic freezer container and cover lightly and
  freeze. To serve, let thaw; finely chop tomato; stir into
  avocado mixture. Serve with raw vegetables, cooked shrimp
  or chips.
  
  Note: excellent fresh and good after frozen.
