The one thing I previously knew about the food (thanks to
Clean Dave) is that the secret marinade was Italian dressing.

The one thing I previously knew about the person is that he
appeared on the Muppet Show and/or Sesame Street.

I'd not have complained about that, but it certainly
doesn't comport with community standards. I doubt
there's that much of a safety issue, even though
chickens are more likely to have unhealthy levels
of bacteria than tastier meats, owing to the nastiness
of their processing methods.

It's not genius-level material to fully cook a piece
of chicken, but I guess it can be screwed up, hence
the popularity of broasters and pressure-fryers,
which take away any guesswork.

Not significantly better than what I heard.

Kentucky Fried Chicken
cat: poultry, tastealike, possibly unsafe
servings: 4 to 6

1 egg, beaten
2 c milk
2 c all-purpose flour
4 ts salt
2 ts black pepper
1 ts msg
6 c Crisco cooking oil
2 frying chickens, with skin, each cut into 6 pieces

In a small bowl combine the egg and milk.

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining four dry ingredients.

Dip each piece of chicken into the milk mixture until fully
moistened. Roll the moistened chicken into the flour mixture
until completely coated.

Pour the oil into the pressure fryer and heat over medium
heat to about 400F.

In groups of 4 or 5, drop the chicken pieces into the oil
and lock the lid into place. When the steam begins shooting
through the pressure release, set the timer for 10 min.

Release the pressure according to manufacturer's instructions
and remove the chicken to paper towels or a metal rack to drain.

Repeat with remaining chicken.
