Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't...  I know of a number of
places that would love to have a Wegmans, even here in NYS, and there's
not any plans I know of to move that way...

Quite.  The 50th and the 60th, especially the first, got a lot of
advance notice and planning... after all, it wasn't to be a surprise,
anyway...  ;)  A couple of my sisters make cakes (semi-)professionally,
so they did the cakes for the celebrations.. I think one did one, and
the other the other, but maybe one of them did both...  :)

do/did your parents attend somewhere else, then...?
