Lol! Typical female. Those women who can tell you what is wrong with it, but
don't want to get there fingernails dirty, don't have those problems. They know
when to stop.

Reminds me of a guy who was about five years older than I, when I was 16. He
had a 1946 Hudson with a inline 6cyl flathead engine. He was going to call a
wrecking yard to come and get it and decided to blow the engine up before they
got it. He set a brick on the accelerator and let it run wide open. It was into
it's 4th hour when the water pump gave up, it was an hour later and you could
see a glow under the hood, as darkness set in. Looking under the hood, the
engine block and heads were glowing a bright orange.

It never did seize.

Then there was the time a guy I worked for had one of the maintence guys change
the oil and filter in his 84 Chevy pickup. It was idling away, while the guy
looked for oil leaks at the filter. The owner, my boss, looked in the cab and
saw the 'idiot' light on, which indicates no oil pressure. (no oil pressure
because the guy forgot to put any in it) Good thing I was there, as he was
going to shut it off and add oil. I told him to add the oil while it's running
as the chances of it seizing would be greater with it shut off.  It was almost
new then and he drove it without any problems for several years after.
