MvdV> Who is the "we" that you are speaking of. certainly not "you and
MvdV> me". *I* know that these people exist, I have met them in person.

Ok, just the majority of those here.

MvdV> There are several people in Z1 who have met Ward in person. So they
MvdV> are not included in the "we" either.

He says he's Ward Dossche, but who can believe him without seeing his id.

MvdV>>> The picture you showed us looks like a shot from a movie picture,

MvdV>>> So maybe the car is yours. That does not prove the person

MvdV> Why? All I see is a white Camaro with a black stripe over the hood.

Yeup. That stripe makes the car, one of a kind.

MvdV> There may be thousands of them.

Well, there are thousands of Camaros like that, but only one with the hood
stripe.

MvdV> How do I know it is yours?

I've told you.

MvdV> There is no front plate. (Not required in California?)

California requires a front plate, Texas did. It has a Texas plate on the
rear and the photo shows a Texas state flag on the wall behind the car.

 >> Since I've shown you other links to the car that show a
 >> title stating it belongs to me,
MvdV> As I said, no visible plate, so I do not know it is the same car.

It's the one and only like that one.

 >> I'd believe that's me in the photo.
MvdV> It could be anyone who happened to pass by.

There were a lot of people passing by during that photo session, not one
of them was walking or bothered to stop to find out what was going on. The
area is a rural highway on the way to my place.

MvdV> The problem with you is that you have demonstrated to be an
 MvdV> unreliable source of information.

Not really. You just can't figure out what's what.

MvdV> You have been caught several times in telling a straight out lie.
MvdV> As a result I do not believe *anything* where I just have to go on
 MvdV> your word.

That's no different than you.

MvdV>>> You still have the both of them?
 >> Yeup. Plus a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup, a 2000 GMC W4500
 >> cab over box van and a 56 Chevrolet sedan.
 MvdV> That's a fleet!

Yeah. Trying to sell the GMC, but no luck so far.

MvdV>>> Sometimes I envy you Americans. Over here it is practically
MvdV>>> impossible to have more than two cars unless you are a
 MvdV>>> millionare.
 >> That's about right. It costs me $40/month to store the GMC.
MvdV> Couldn't find that here for that price.

That's cheap. In California they would charge $125/month, not because they
don't have the room, just because they're greedy.

 >> That's the least of my problems though. Insurance on all of
 >> them combined is quite high.
MvdV>>> Where does one park it?
 >> The 98 Camaro is in the garage next to the 56 Chevy.

MvdV> Two car garages are rare here. This is a heavy populated area.

They're rare here too. Most places that I looked at had two car garages,
but many of them only have car ports. That's a place to park your cars in
the shade. Since the sun is so intense in this lattitude, parking your
vehicles in the shade keeps them cool and undamaged by the sun's rays.
Paint fades fast, especially reds.

MvdV> Ground prices are in the order of Eur 600,- a square metre. people
MvdV> do not like to waste their precious acerage on garages. My gardeb
MvdV> is 500 square metres. That ius considered big for this area.

Well, my garage is 720sq feet (24w x 30dp). There is also a laundry room
in it and a small work area with cabinets and work benches. Behind the
house, outside the back door of the garage, I also have a small 12x12
storage shed for garden tools, etc..

 >> My Silverado is in the driveway along with Nancy's BMW
MvdV> Are they not in the way when you want to take out the Camaro?

I could park one of the vehicles in the street when we take out the
Camaro. But I usually put one behind the other to create a lane to drive
the Camaro in and out of the garage.

 >> and the GMC is in a storage lot.

 >> The 88 Camaro is still parked at my friends house where we stayed
 >> before buying this place. I drove that out here last November, then
 >> took a train back to San Diego.

 MvdV> Afraid of flying?

No. Experimenting. The year before, I took a Bus from San Diego to here
and back. Just to see how the other half of the world lives. Not a pretty
site to see and I'll never do it again. Neither will I take the train
again.

 >> I flew my buddy out to San Diego, he drove the GMC, while I
 >> drove the Silverado. Then, I flew back to San Diego and Nancy
 >> drove her BMW, while I drove the 98 Camaro.

MvdV> You should have rented a truck to haul them all in one go.;-)

Sure, at $1000 per vehicle. I did make one mistake there. I had a 72
Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup that was in excellent condition, but I sold it
rather than transport it here. I'm still kicking myself for that.

MvdV>>> I can see the message. No white Camaro there though...
 >> I was there yesterday and posted more messages. You should
 >> find my posts there with pictures in them.
 MvdV> Sorry, can't find them.

You have to do more than look at the page. Each line on the message board
is a 'forum', something like this one. You don't read any messages in
FIDONEWS, unless you open the forum. That's what you have to do there.
Then, rather than look at written messages, all you'll see are titles to
subjects. Clicking on one of them will reveal the messages in that forum
subject.
