Who said anyting about good speeches.  Charisma is more then good
speech making.  And, yes, it does help.

You can, but there will be very few individuals who can accomplish
that.

The only mistake his predecessor made was being the finance minister
for the previous Prime Minister.  He got sacked from that because he
disagreed with his 'boss' over fiscal matters.  That, as it turns out,
was the end of Chretien's long reign.  He got out while the getting
was good, and managed to shift a lot of doubt about his misdemeanors
onto his successor.

Safer then it is at the present.  Our actions in Afghanistan, and your
actions in Iraq, seems to have wakened a sleeping terror.

Not by itself.  Isael could not do what it did, without a lot of help,
and most of that came, and comes from, the USA.  I will grant you the
following statement partially.

They had a trained military used to discipline, whereas Egypt, et al,
did not.  That was the difference at that time

Yes.  Israel, would love to have its borders back to pre New Testament
times, just as much as the Palastinians would love to see Israel gone.
 Remember though, contrary to the country being created in the 40's,
it had existed in biblical times, thus was technically only getting
back part of its own territory..

All that aside, most people forget that the early settlers there, were
nothing more then terrorists in their own right.
