Reagan and slick willy got by with Congress in the hands of the opposition
party, do you really see what happened as a magic light switch?

The bright spot here is Bush is gonna learn how to veto things..

If legislation passed congress down party lines, the existing majority wont be
able to override any such veto..

Assuming the VA Senate seat goes left, do you think the Repubs wont pull the
same obstructionist BS the Dems did, which stalled and stymied many things the
past 6 years?

Progressive... C'mon Janis, thats just a word...

I have been in the workforce since 1980, at the various places I have worked,
they used to call the person who was in charge of maintaining the records of
the employees the "Personnel Manager", "Personnel Director".. In todays
politically correct world, the title doesnt exist anymore, the job does, they
call it "Human Resources"..

The point is, you can use a million different descriptive words that denote if
not describe the same thing.

The people who lead the Democratic Party, are not by far progressives, if thats
your colorful term for them today.

There is such a thing as Conservative Democrats, Leiberman or former GA Senator
Zell Miller could be construed as examples of some..

There also is such a thing as liberal Republicans, A real good example of one
would be that California Guvner who won re-election last night, "Ahnold"..
Other examples would be my own Senator, Lindsey Graham or Arizona Sen John
McCain, Olympia Snow..

Cool your jets, if you get a DEM in the WH in 2008, is the time to break out
the champagne.
