Well, Pelozi has taken back her threats about those investigations, but
we'll see. If they expect to seat a liberal in the WH in 2008, they'll be
smarter if they leave everything alone. BTW, I've noticed that the dems
aren't screaming 'fixed' election this time.

JK> It's too bad that Bush fired Rumsfeld.. I would have rather Rumsfeld
JK> was investigated for his actions as well... I wouldn't doubt that is
 JK> why Rumsfeld was removed.

Rumsfeld can and probably will be investigated by the dems. I sure
hope so, as that will be the dems downfall for 2008.

There's nothing to stop them from doing so, as they can investigate
anyone at anytime.

BTW, Rummy knew he wouldn't last through the elections, especially if they
lost control of congress. Unless of course, you believe that Bush called
up Bob Gates when he saw the 'thumping' they took on election day and
gave him 5 minutes to think about taking the job.

 >> The bright spot here is Bush is gonna learn how to veto things..

JK> Sure, he has that option... but if the Republican party wants to
JK> survive this Bush won't be so quick to veto every measure.

Actually, it'll be the other way around. Make it something that Bush will
pass and they'll have the assurance that it will. Force something down his
throat and they'll find veto or no action stamped on their legislation.

Veto means that they'll have to find 67% of both houses to get it passed
without Bush's signature. With such a weak majority, they probably won't
even try.

No Action means that the legislation will just die on Bush's desk.

JK> Then again, don't forget, supenas like those that crushed the end of
JK> Clinton's term could well be applied to Bush. Remember that period
JK> in US History, when the Republicans did indeed state that "no one was
 JK> above the law".

If they do that, they're fools and will have killed their parties hopes
for the white house, next time.

 JK> Possible.

More likely, probable.

JK> Perhaps.. but I think representatives in both houses now are VERY
JK> aware of their constituents feelings about the state of this country,
JK> civil rights and more. I understand Nancy Pelosi, has a 100 hours
JK> plan to bring things back in the swing of things and I also bet

Will that be before or after she takes off her 'conservative' mask? On
second thought, I hope whatever mask she's wearing, she decides to keep it
on.

JK> I guess you'd rather see that deficit continue to grow until it
JK> nearly bankrupts this nation? :)

What deficit?

JK> Our taxes haven't gone down under Bush, btw. They've gone up..

Yeah, I guess dems are more prone to supporting their tax and spend crazy
leaders than repubs. Our taxes have gone down under Bush.

 >>> The Republican-Bush-followeres, the whiners in this administration,

JK> No, the point is that those elected are not conservatives. That is
 JK> what's important here.

So, they're two faced, as they called themselves conservatives, or at
least moderates during their campaigns. I noticed that none of them said
we'll raise your taxes or more gun control is needed...

 >> Cool your jets, if you get a DEM in the WH in 2008, is the time to

JK> I think most democrats are now celebrating the potential that exists
JK> to end the fear campaign in the US now.

The fear campaign just started. You admitted that the dems will begin to
investigate, supeona and try the admin staff, all the way to the President
... if that is true, then the moniker of 'two faced dems' lives on.
