 In an ever increasingly rare and relatively lucid moment I composed the
following
 with another in mind for which it was written.

 Not sure in my current state if there is much merit to the post
 or just embarrassing myself again however I' m crossposting because it _seems_
to have
 some vanishingly small message and merit to me.
 Crossposting was a last minute thought after proof reading for nonsense
 just before uploading.

 
 This one comes up write only as I'm not exposing myself to
 the passive aggressive types inhabiting the world just now
 by reading QWK packet downloads
 My mind is too far gone to play with the little kiddies anymore.

 You were absolutely correct about saying if it was on sale it was crap.

 My brand new I/O Magic discounted external USB enclosure it crap.

 Too bad too because it's only two things that make it so.

 Of course there are not so many things there to be defective in the first
 place.

 They went cheap on the connectors so the power module plug that goes to the
case is
 an extremely loose fit literally falling out at the least provocation.

 Still, I hooked it up and formatted the drive.
 Copied everything on /dev/hda3 from my home directory on down to /dev/sda1
 as backup.

 I like dogs and machines, people not so much as most have hidden agendas
 and motives and are not what they pretend to you to be.

 Everything is passive - aggressive with them and in my circumstances 
 I cannot find any way to distance or isolate myself from them.

 That used to mean the biker bar but now disabled weak and crippled it
 has come to running even from fidonet and even email.

 Too bad as this echo had been like going to school through vocational 
 rehabilitation some years back.

 Always there are what I call the spoilers for lack of a better name.
 
 They call you names like welfare fraud or leech but if you attempt
 rehabilitation in any form be it school or here in Linux that too
 they find fault and they attack.

 These people are small and petty little cowards and it makes them feel big
 and superior to beat up upon the weak, disabled and helpless.

 Can't hang at biker hangouts anymore, can't hang out here.

 You're a welfare fraud and a leech to some sorts while at the same time they
attack you as
 being stupid for taking jobs with a physical component just to avoid the petty
nonsense.
 
 One wonders what havoc I could have wrought upon the world with my size and
former strength
 had I been so inclined to do so.

 Not echo topical but it's real.

 Think I once said in reference to Linux "sweet and sexy tools that work."

 I like tools and devices that work and behave in predicatable ways be they
motorcycles or
 Gateway computers.
 I like dogs.
 People not so much.
 
 Even the near universally feared Pit Bull becomes the most loyal, gentle
 and reliable honest companion treated consistently well and given half a
chance.
 Friends are best kept to the few and quality rather than running in the 
 more popululous  wild pack.

 There is weakness in numbers.
 Weakness of mind, weakness of heart and weakness of spirit.

People don't behave predictably or as they present themselves.
So many two faced, so few exactly what they claim.

Never will understand people.
Rather walk 40 miles over burning hot coals to stab you in the back than to
simply
behave in a forthright manner even when the latter is easier and costs them
nothing.

Started out a nerd that didn't understand people.
Became a biker that hung out with people that required no understanding
as what you saw was what you could expect and it's the easier way for me.

Trying to nerd up again but finding no way to distance myself or escape  the
petty cowards
I have to further isolate myself like I'm not already on the dark side of the
moon.

I guess the question that has always most driven me most  is why destroy when
you
can create, fine tune, improve and contribute to bettering things?
Why not help people, I used to.

Guess I'm just a lefty - liberal Star Trek utopia future dreamer type.
You, Martin, James, Charles, Jay and Paul are
honorable as well as some few others here and in other echos but you are
the exceptions to the rule.

Those I neglected to mention it's most likely due to mental defect.

Some people remind me of something I scraped off my shoe one time.
You try to avoid stepping in it but they insist on throwing themselves into
your path.

As I am a simple person I prefer the company of ethical or at least honest
people.
But I am human and when relentlessly attacked I too respond in kind.
Yes even employing the nasty techniques I've learned from those I dispise
above all else.

So in keeping with the last paragraph above this line please see tagline <VBG>
