 Because he chose to. After all, Jesus predicted Peter would deny
 him. None of his diciples were warriors or soldiers. They were
 fishermen and such. None were heroes. Remember, Pentecost found
 the diciples huddling and hiding. The whole point is, accepting
 Jesus changes people. If it doesn't, what is the purpose?

 A true church by any other name is the Catholic Church.

 There was only one Christian church at that time. It was not
 necessary to name it the Catholic Church. It just was the
 Catholic Church. You do realize the name, "Catholic", just means
 universal. The church for all people, don't you?

 Not stupid enough to believe a word you say. Since Catholic
 means universal, then you are saying the church for all people
 is the Whore of Babylon. Which is absurd. I do not see anywhere
 Revelations says the Whore of Babylon was any church. You read
 your wishes into Jesus' teachings. A bit arrogant of you.
