You've got me, it's my first.
Odd sort of a thing.
Linux is my effort to retain my mind, what there ever was of it
I may have had.
I'm doing well with Linux.
Writing scripts now to make thing easier.

I can now go from  a blank virginal hard drive with just
100K of files to a fully function Slackware 10.2 intallation
with LAME MP3 and Mplayer configured in 6 hours.

I did it last night.
My eyes are fast as I once worked as a printer so I caught what
Perl stands for on installation last night.

Program expession Report Language.
A pretty easy but powerful tool I think.

Some transient facial numbness, my right hand turned into
a claw for a time, confusion, second childhood and the short
term memory loss you mention.

That said I think I'm better off today than I was before.
Linux has taught me to learn on the fly interactively.

The concentration required distracts from the pain from
the spinal injury.

Oddly I believe the stroke eliminated some preconceptions
about Linux that were holding me back and now engaged
in rehab I've designed for myself I'm not just doing better but
great.

You're the one that does maintanance on Naval ships
in precarious positions with leather gloves soaked through
and duct taped hair <g> ?

Funny thing is I believe all that not having cause to doubt.
