Since David Halford posted about this here, and I'm sure only a few people
have seen this, I'll post it for all.  I will NOT reveal who it came from,
but I expect at least a few will recognize the style....

(and I'm NOT saying he's completely wrong either!)

There's an interesting documentation of what Region 12, and Net 163 in
particular, have in mind for FidoNet, and it isn't good.

Fido was _supposed_ to be a mix of both social *and* technical aspects ...
that was what I was working for, and if anything, held back quite a few
from going too far.

The specifics referenced to Herriot/Logger make it clear what the intent
is all about ... to turn Fido solely into a social matter, rather than one
open to _all_.

Satti is effectively gone.

Souvestre wanted to get rid of Bob because someone broke faith and let
him know what was being intended ... the idea was to try and set up a
non-commercial backbone that Souvestre could not control.

Since Satti did not do as Souvestre asked, which was to appoint Adrian
Walker as ZEC, Satti has been targetted for removal.

There was a chance to save FidoNet, and get some of the old guard
programmers to be involved in moving us to the InterNet, but Satti caving
in has effectively killed that.
