My telco is actually owned by the provincial government, the only one
left in Canada that's still what's known as a Crown Corporation.

None currently here, although at one time I did lease such a circuit
from Sasktel, it was only 2.9 km of copper, so I was able to achieve 1.5 mbps
bi-directional with a couple of Netopia SDSL routers. Now no longer needed as
I have a 36 mbps microwave link. :)

Ditto, although my tenure at the telco (in this case, Bell Canada) ended
long before dsl was even thought of. :)

Sasktel has had iptv, albeit not hd, available here for about 3 years,
and are in heavy/serious competition with Shaw (cableco) for tv packages. SHaw
countered by offering their own phone service. :)
