I'm not sure, as I don't fly that often. One Christmas Eve, I was over
Chicago in a 707 (that tells you how long ago it happened). I had a window
seat and the aircraft was banking in a turn, my side down. All of a sudden
the aircraft took a dive towards the streets. I think I'd been on an jet
passenger airplane twice before, SD to SF and back. Had I the time, I
would have taken the train back to San Diego after that experience.

My oldest daughter and family live in League City, SW of Houston. My SIL
works for Continental Airlines and flys whenever he can (he's an aircraft
mechanic). Usually to NASCAR races. I won't get on one. When my daughter's
mother was alive, she and the kids would fly to Chicago about once a month
to visit her.

I've been as far as the freeway loop around Houston on the NW side. I
picked up a HD that I bought there and trucked it back home. On the way
back, I went out of my way to avoid the congestion I found on the way in.
