Well, we all now know that he did confess to it and now claims that he was
lying...nothing new for him.

I heard it as well. Now that the prosecution has re-opened the case, he'll
probably be charged with murder, since he didn't check to see if she was
still alive after she 'fainted in his arms'.

He lied.

Dumping her body at sea is a crime in and of itself. Whether she died in
his arms or was dumped at sea 'alive' is yet to be determined. In either
case, what he did was a crime.

Party of the first part...aka the body dumper will be charged (if he's
found or named) as the assessory to murder, Vandersloot will be charged
with her murder.
