Not really.  There's no moral or ethical imperative to pay taxes.  And there's
no legal imperative to pay more taxes than the law says are due.  If the
law says no tax is due, not paying it isn't legally, morally or ethically
wrong.

If someone in this country has zero income from wages, and only the interest
income
from investments in tax-free municipal bonds, no income tax is due.  Yet one
can
make a very good living on said interest.  Again, there's nothing legally,
morally or
ethically wrong with that life style.

Anyone is perfectly free to pay taxes that are not due, and the government
certainly
appreciates it and will cheerfully accept the money.  And one who does that may
and probably will get a nice warm fuzzy feeling, but s/he'd still be stupid for
doing
it.
