Pretty smart people, I'd say. LOL!

Of the three, one is made here in the US...no need to import a BMW when
you can buy one made in the BMW-USA plant. The other two are over-rated
and over-engineered. Not worth the money that people pay for them. Used
MBs sit on used car lots at very cheap prices. Used Audi's are usually
relegated to the scrap yard, as everything you need to repair one, has to
come from Audi. Including transmission fluid and engine oil. Otherwise,
they won't run at all.

My Dutchman friend in San Diego already taught me what to look for in
these cars. I'm afraid they have pulled the wool over your eyes, as none
of those Euro only cars are any better or worse than what is imported
here.
